A career fair map students actually use
Employers book and pay for tables online, every recruiter shows up on a searchable map, and students and candidates arrive knowing which tables to visit first.
What the map gives you
Students search employers by industry or role
One link for your career center page, emails and QR codes
Next semester's fair set up from this one
Why career fair maps break down
Most career fairs run on a registration form, a spreadsheet of table numbers and a PDF guide that's out of date by the time students walk in.
Employer lists change up to the last day
Employers cancel, add a second table or register late, so the printed employer guide and the PDF map are wrong before the doors open.
Students wander instead of networking
With 100+ employer tables in a gym or ballroom and only an hour between classes, students spend their time hunting for table numbers instead of talking to recruiters.
Table assignments eat staff time
Career center staff match employers to tables, answer "where are we?" emails, and juggle sponsor and premium spots by hand in a spreadsheet.
Employers and sponsors get no proof of interest
After the fair, there's little data to show employers and sponsors how many students looked for them. That makes the next registration cycle harder to sell.
What changes with ExpoFP
The fair becomes one live map that your staff, your employers and your students all use.
Employers pick and pay for their own table
Recruiters see live availability, choose a table and pay by credit card on the map, and your team approves every booking in one place.
The map is always current
Move a table or swap an employer in the browser and the public map updates instantly. There's nothing to re-print or re-upload.
Students arrive with a shortlist
Students search by employer, table number or industry, bookmark the tables they want to visit and follow a route on their phone.
You can show employers and sponsors data
Analytics show searches, table views and routes, which you can share with employers and sponsors when you invite them back.
Core features
FP Designer for tables and zones
Drag, drop, merge and resize tables in the browser to lay out the gym, ballroom or exhibit hall by industry: engineering, healthcare, finance, government, nonprofits. You can also upload your existing floor plan and the ExpoFP team will build the map for you.
Online table booking and payments
Employers see live availability and reserve or buy their table by credit card directly on the map, and you approve and track every booking in one place. Booth extras let employers add a second table, electricity or an extra chair when they book.
Employer self-service profiles
Each employer gets a personal auto-login link to add a logo, description and contact details, including the roles they're hiring for. You approve every profile before it goes live, so there's no more chasing employer blurbs by email.
Search and filters for students and candidates
Students search by company, table number or category and filter by industry, then bookmark the employers they want to meet. The map opens in any mobile browser with no app and no sign-in, so a QR code at the entrance is all students need.
Sponsorship and featured employers
Sell sponsored listings, featured placements, logos on tables, banner ads and sponsorship packages to employers who want to stand out. This helps cover the cost of the fair.
Agenda, wayfinding and campus context
Show resume reviews, employer info sessions and panels on the map by importing the schedule from Excel or through the API. Turn-by-turn routes cover multiple rooms and floors, and the area map shows parking, entrances and transport for visiting recruiters. For a permanent campus map, see campus map software.
Who uses it
ExpoFP already maps education events such as NAFSA 2026, the international education association's annual conference and expo, along with Bett UK 2026 and SXSW EDU 2026. For career fairs specifically, typical events include:
- University and college career fairs run by career centers, from all-majors fairs to engineering, business or healthcare fairs
- Internship and graduate recruitment fairs where students meet employers by industry
- Association and professional society job fairs held alongside an annual conference or expo
- Community and city hiring events run by workforce boards, chambers of commerce or local governments
- Industry-specific hiring fairs for sectors like healthcare, tech, hospitality or the trades
What we show in the demo
Your venue, laid out as a career fair
We start from your venue plan, or a sample one, with employer tables grouped by industry, plus check-in, resume review and info-session rooms.
An employer booking a table
You'll see what a recruiter sees: live availability, choosing a table, adding extras and paying by card.
Your approvals and employer profiles
We show how career center staff approve bookings and profiles and see which employers still owe information.
The student view on a phone
Search by industry, bookmark employers and get a route to each table, all in a mobile browser.
Reuse for next semester
We copy the map and employers into a new event so the spring fair starts from the fall layout.
FAQ
You can build the map yourself on the DIY plan from $149/mo, which includes table reservation and sponsorship tools. If you'd rather have the ExpoFP team build it, team-built plans start from $990 one-time. Listed prices are for up to 100 booths and scale with the number of tables. You can start free with a 7-day trial and no credit card.
