How to use Floor Plan Designer

What does the designer look like?

This is the floor plan designer with a sample plan loaded in. You can delete it and start creating your own.

Alternatively, you can have your floor plan professionally designed by our team in two business days.

How to use basic tools

The Selection tool allows you to drag your mouse over one or more objects to select them.

The Pan tool lets you click and drag to move objects around the grid.

This tool will Undo/Redo a movement. (Shortcuts: Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Y)

This tool will Copy/Paste any selected object. (Shortcuts: Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V)

This tool will Flip horizontally or vertically

This tool will Rotate. Holding Ctrl makes objects rotate around their own axis.

How to use the align tool

You can use the align tool if you need two or more objects to align a certain way in relation to each other.

How to move an object front/back

You can use this tool if you need to move one object so that it shows on top of another. Booths are always shown on top, so you aren't able to put any object on top of booths.

How to lock an object

Locked objects can't be moved on the floor plan. To use this option, click on the object, and then click the lock tool.

To unlock it, click the unlock tool or double click the object.

How do I separate my booths accurately?

The arrange booths tool is used to separate your booths from one another. For example, you can enter 0 and booths will be arranged next to each other, or you can enter 10 and they will be 10 ft/m away from each other.

How to rename booths in bulk

If you need to rename all your booths, you can use the bulk rename tool. You click the tool, set up your booth name/number, then click on multiple booths one by one to rename them in order.

How to search for a booth

You can search for one or multiple booths by name in the search bar and they will be highlighted.

How to preview booths as sold/available

If you want to see what your floor plan will look like with all the booths on hold or sold, you can get a preview of it with these buttons.

How to save or go back to a previously saved plan

You can save your progress by hitting the save button. All versions are saved, and you can return to a previous version anytime by clicking the round arrow beside it.

What is each layer for?

We have 4 basic layers.

The "Designer images" layer includes the images you upload to the plan.

The "Background elements" layer includes any shapes you've drawn in.

The "Foreground (text, icons)" layer includes any text and icon.

The "Booths" layer includes booths.

You can hide each layer individually by clicking the eye icon. Clicking the lock icon will lock in that layer.
